ICAPGRADE E01 is a high-performance expanding filler primer designed by ICAP Leather Chem for applications on splits, reclaimed leather and “difficult” substrates (e.g., buffalo). Due to its formulation with expanding properties, it allows for uniform and fully refinishable surfaces, even where the substrate has irregularities, porosity or high defectiveness.
Recommended application
- Apply ICAPGRADE E01 by roll-coater, mixed with pigments from the Pigmentol DS series, to ensure even distribution of the product.
- Allow it to rest for at least 12 hours to allow the grouting and stabilization process to take place.
- Proceed to the activation stage by ironing or sandblast at a temperature of 130-140 °C, promoting the formation of a covering film.
- Ability to polish or sand with fine-grit sandpaper to achieve perfect leveling of the substrate and a smooth, even surface.
