Our History

ICAP Leather Chem is a young company with more than 80 years of experience behind it. In fact, although the Lainate headquarters was inaugurated in 1995, ICAP’s history began after World War II, specifically in 1945. The company was founded in 1944, during World War II, under the name ACCA (Azienda Coloranti Chimici e Affini). In 1947, the company name was changed to ICAP (Industria Chimica Ausiliari per Pelli).

In 1953, following the expansion of its manufacturing operations, the company’s name was changed to ICAP Industria Chimica, and since then, the company has played an important role in the production and marketing of high-quality chemical products for various industries.

The Company Today

In 1995, following a spin-off of a business unit, ICAP Leather Chem was founded, with its name already reflecting the company’s renewed focus on the leather industry market. As part of this strong commitment to its target market, ICAP Leather Chem’s goal is to produce and supply customers with high-quality products through attentive and timely service, while maintaining a constant commitment to continuous product improvement and to environmental protection, health, and safety.
