Regulatory Affairs Specialist
ICAP Leather Chem Spa historical chemical company operating in the tanning industry is looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist for its office in Lainate (MI). The figure will report directly to the Technical Director, dealing with:
- Verification of compliance of industry products with European and non-European standards (REACh, CLP, K-REACh, KKDIK etc.)
- Ensures proper registration of substances and mixtures in national and international inventories (TSCA, DSL/nDSL, IECSC, ENCS, KECI, PICCS, etc.);
- Interface with the designated ORs for K-Reach and KKDIK (Turkish Reach);
- Management and storage of raw material technical documentation;
- Collaboration with all company offices and laboratories to fulfill customer requests, ensuring compliance with European, non-European and industry-specific regulatory standards (ZDHC, CP65…);
- Managing customs aspects of products (Customs Code, Preferential Origin, Made In);
- Ensure product safety by interfacing with external laboratories and agencies for product and raw material analysis and investigation;
- Collaborates in the creation and management of Safety Data Sheets and documentation for waste disposals;
- Constant monitoring of the regulatory landscape by ensuring that the company is properly and quickly updated and adjusted.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and previous experience in chemical companies operating in the textile-tanning industry preferred;
- Good knowledge of chemistry, particularly acrylic and polyurethane polymers;
- Good knowledge of the main Regulations in chemical substance management (REACh, CLP, Biocides, PIC, Chemical Weapons, Dual Use, ADR…);
- Good command of English (written and oral) and major computer tools;
- Excellent communication skills for relating to different business figures and problem solving;
- Autonomy in proper management of one’s time, setting priorities from time to time.
Open-ended contract with full-time hours is offered; salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s actual ability and experience.
