NEWAX 718 is a leather finishing aid based on synthetic waxes in an aqueous emulsion, developed to give leather a rich, natural appearance, which is particularly valued in products with a worn and authentic look.
Made from a carefully selected blend of appropriately emulsified synthetic waxes, NEWAX 718 is primarily used in the production of pull-up, heat-sensitive, and Crazy Horse leather goods, where the natural variation in tone and the depth of the effect are key distinguishing features of the finished product.
One of the product’s most interesting features is its ability to produce a particularly pronounced and attractive pull-up effect after ironing or sandblast finishing at high temperatures (around 130°C). In fact, heat promotes the migration and distribution of the waxes within the finishing film, creating lightening and darkening effects that enhance the leather’s natural character.
NEWAX 718 can be used as a base wax for creating items with a vintage, oiled, or waxed finish, helping to produce surfaces rich in depth, texture, and character.
