Sharing the goals of transparency and sustainability that distinguish our realities, we would like to inform you that ICAP Leather Chem spa has joined the project of UNPAC – Unione Nazionale Produttori Italiani Auxiliari Conciari (National Association of the Manufacturers of Tanning Auxiliaries), for the definition of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology for our products and related processes, which will allow us to provide our environmental impact data, calculated in a scientific and standardized manner.
The calculation methodology will be in accordance with relevant regulations in order to make a real calculation of the impact along the supply chain, implemented and aligned with LCA assessment.
The tool allows, after modeling of company data for impact assessment, to conduct LCA analysis of our products (PCF – Product Carbon Footprint included) and consequent improvement actions to be taken.
The project is supported by SPIN 360, a consulting firm specialized in innovation and sustainable development in various markets, with the goal of having the first LCA-PCF data by September 2025.
