ICATAN 300 is a polymer retanning agent in aqueous solution with combined retanning and fattening action, designed to optimize processing cycles by reducing the amount of external grease and promoting the development of a structurally and tactile balanced leather.
Due to its special chemical structure, based on polymers derived from stearyl acrylate, ICATAN 300 gives the leather a full, soft and firm hand without causing unwanted swelling.
Used in the retanning stage after neutralization, either alone or in combination with synthetic tannins, natural tannins or acrylic retanning agents, the product improves the quality of the leather by imparting natural softness, water repellency and oil repellency.
One of the main advantages of ICATAN 300 is its excellent lightfastness and ability to irreversibly bond to the collagen fiber, ensuring complete bath exhaustion and increased efficiency of the production process. In addition, it does not interfere with subsequent dyeing operations and allows for adhesion-free finishing.

Recommended dosage:
2-6% on shaved weight (up to 10% depending on the desired effect).
For ease of use, it is recommended to prepare a pre-solution at 35-40°C.
