ICAPOIL CO is a special solvent-free, non-water-based oil developed to improve dynamic water resistance and give leathers a characteristic waxy\/greasy or natural pull-up effect.Its viscous, high-performance formulation forms an active barrier that swells on the surface of the leather upon contact with water, dramatically reducing penetration and improving resistance to the penetrometer test<\/strong> (Maeser test).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Performance and versatility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to its hydrophobic behavior and film-forming properties, ICAPOIL CO<\/strong> is ideal for the finishing of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Non-waterproofing split and buffed leathers<\/strong>, improving their water resistance without altering their breathability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Full-grain leather<\/strong> where a waxy, natural finish is desired.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • “Pull-up”<\/strong> or “crazy horse” effect items<\/strong>, in combination with our NEWAX H50 wax<\/strong> for even more pronounced and authentic results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The final effect can vary from a light pull-up<\/strong> to an intense waxed effect<\/strong>, depending on skin type and amount applied.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

    • Heated roller<\/strong> application (50-60 \u00b0C) in pure form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Alternatively, it can be diluted with Butyl Acetate or Ethylglycol<\/strong> for cold application, adjusting the viscosity and cosmetic performance according to the implant and the desired result.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The amount of product, type of solvent and degree of dilution are key parameters to balance aesthetic effect and water resistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
