ICAPGRADE E01<\/strong> is a high-performance expanding filler primer designed by ICAP Leather Chem for applications on splits, reclaimed leather and “difficult” substrates (e.g., buffalo). Due to its formulation with expanding properties, it allows for uniform and fully refinishable surfaces, even where the substrate has irregularities, porosity or high defectiveness. <\/p>\n\n

Recommended application<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Apply ICAPGRADE E01 by roll-coater, mixed with pigments from the Pigmentol DS<\/strong> series, to ensure even distribution of the product.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Allow it to rest for at least 12 hours to allow the grouting and stabilization process to take place.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Proceed to the activation stage by ironing or sandblast at a temperature of 130-140 \u00b0C<\/strong>, promoting the formation of a covering film.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Ability to polish or sand with fine-grit<\/strong> sandpaper to achieve perfect leveling of the substrate and a smooth, even surface.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    • The expanding<\/strong> nature of the filler allows it to “fill in” porosity or irregularities typical of splits, regenerated leather and leather with flaws (including buffalo), giving the substrate a homogeneous base for level finishing applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Ideal as a final step<\/strong> in creating nubuck<\/strong> effects, transforming crusts or low-quality leathers into premium-looking items.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Particularly suitable for leather goods, footwear, upholstery, and regenerated leather items that require high aesthetic performance, uniform feel, and surface ready for sophisticated finishes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
